Maude Anna (GILLUM) ROSE

Maude Anna ROSE, formerly of Bedford R.D. 3, died October 
17, 1957 at the Smith Rest Home in Manns Choice where she 
had been a guest for four years. She was born in Bedford 
County March 14, 1873, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John 
GILLUM. Her husband, Espy ROSE died January, 1948. She is 
survived by these children, Clyde of Nebraska, Mrs. Fannie 
SHAFFER of New Paris, Percy of Bedford R.D. 3, Norman of 
Schellsburg, Luther of Bedford, Russell of Bedford R.D. 3, 
Hosea, of North Dakota, Ralph of Osterburg R.D. 1. Four 
children preceded her in death. Also surviving are 33 
grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was a member 
of the Bortz Lutheran Church in Cumberland Valley. Funeral 
services: Sunday, 2:30 p.m., in the Bortz Lutheran Church, 
the Rev. Carroll S. Rudisill officiating. Interment in 
church cemetery. Friends are being received in the Louis 
Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, after 7 p.m. tonight.
