"Jack" ROSE Bedford Inquirer, November 29, 1991 page 3 Norman J. " Jack" ROSE, 90, of Manns Choice RD 1, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1991, in Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. He was born Aug. 6, 1901, in Centerville, a son of the late Espy and Maude (GILLUM) ROSE. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Fannie Mae HITE, who died Sept. 18, 1973, and by a son Dempsey in 1983. He is survived by these children: Mrs. Melby VEACH, Manns Choice RD 1; Rev. Perry ROSE, married to the former Erma FRAZIER, of Chambersburg; Glenn ROSE of Johnstown; and Vera, wife of Howard NUZUM of Lake St. Louis, MO.; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Hosea ROSE of Moorehead, Minn., and Ralph ROSE of Pennknoll Village. Mr. ROSE was a retired farmer and security guard for Anderson Patrol, and had been a school bus driver for 26 years. He was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God and the National Grange, and formerly was a member of the Bedford County Grange Mutual Insurance Co., serving for 32 years. Funeral services, Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 10a.m. at the Manns Choice Church of God, with the Rev. D. Lloyd Abbott officiating. Burial in Bedford County Memorial Park.
