Ralph E. "Pete" ROSE

Ralph E. "Pete" ROSE, 84, of Pennknoll Village, formerly of 
Blanche Street, Bedford, died Thursday, Dec. 14. 1995, at 
Pennknoll Village. He was born March 11, 1911, in Cumberland 
Valley Township, a son of the late Espy and Maude (GILLUM) 
ROSE. He was married on May 31, 1930, to Ora Jane (DEREMER) 
ROSE, who died Nov. 3, 1987. He is survived by these 
children; Alice, wife of Dean RINNINGER, Bedford RD2; John, 
married to the former Lois PERKINS, Cinnamonson, N.J.; 
Judith Ann, wife of John BEARER, Corrolltown; Richard, 
married to the former Donna HORNER, Rosenburg, Texas; 
Robert, married to the former Barbara LOWERY, York; Linda, 
wife of Paul BIETERMAN, Greensburg; and Joseph, married to 
the former Christina NAYHAY, York; 15 grandchildren and 13 
great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, Hosea ROSE 
of Moorhead, Minn. He was preceded in death by a son, 
Harold; a granddaughter, Sharon; brothers Clyde, Luther, 
Percy, Norman and Russell, a sister Fannie SHAFFER and three 
infants. Mr. ROSE retired after 20 years as a custodial 
employee of United Telephone Co., and had been a farmer and 
past custodian of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford. He was 
a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford. Burial in 
Union Cemetery, Centerville. Memorial contributions may be 
made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1011 Old Salem Road, 
Greensburg, Pa, 15601.
