ROSE [paper unknown] Roger E. ROSE, 39, of 919 West Bridge Street, Phoenixville, Chester Co., Pa., formerly of Bedford, R.D. 6, died Saturday, January 22, 1977, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford Township, October 9, 1937, a son of Russell R. and Mae (HEMING) ROSE of Bedford, R.D. 6. Surviving are his wife, Betty L. (ULLMAN) ROSE, one son, Roger Jr., at home; and these step-children, Edwin, Wendy, and James, all at home. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters, Edward, of Lexington, Virginia; Ronald, of Bedford, R.D. 6; Samuel of Fairfield, Pa.; Joanne, wife of William FOREMAN, of Bedford, R.D. 6; Dorothy ROSE, of Bedford, R.D. 2; and Phillis, wife of Thomas COLVIN, of Bedford, R. D. 6. Roger was an employee of the Howard Johnson Company for 17 years and of Radio Taxi of Phoenixville. He was a member of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co. at Phoenixville, of St. Thomas Catholic Church of Bedford and a 1955 graduate of Bedford High School. Funeral Mass: Monday, January 24 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Bedford, with Father Raymond G. Crosser, officiating. Burial in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service was held and friends were received in the Paul A. Kolander Funeral Home, Bedford, on Sunday Evening.
