ROSE Bedford Gazette, Friday, December 23, 1910 Saturday morning, December 19, Tolbert K. ROSE died at the Alms House, of dropsy, aged 70 years and seven months. He was born in Cumberland Valley in May, 1840. Mr. ROSE was a shoemaker by occupation, and worked at that business here for many years. He was married three times, and is survived by his last wife and the following children: Mrs. Jacob COOK of Mann's Choice, Mrs. George W. WESTON of New York, Lydia of Carbondale, and Mrs. J.W. CROYLE of this place. One brother, Jonathan ROSE, of Bedford also survives. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. CROYLE, East John Street, and were conducted by Rev. J.W. Lingle of the Lutheran Church. Interment was made in the Bedford Cemetery.
