Earl "Buddy" ROSE Bedford Inquirer, Oct. 19, 1989 W. Earl "Buddy" ROSE, 70, of Bedford RD 3, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1989, at Bedford Memorial Hospital of Bedford Co. He was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Cumberland Valley Township, son of the late Clyde L. and Ida H. (HITE) ROSE. He never married. He is survived by two sisters, Mary, wife of Jack SHATZER, of Bedford RD 3, and Flora, wife of Glentis STREET, of Bedford RD 3; a sister-in-law, Mary C. ROSE of Bedford RD 6; and six nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, David H. ROSE, in February 1986. He was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church and the Centerville Senior Citizens. He graduated from Bedford High School and from the Williamsport Technical School as a draftsman. He worked for many years in Niagara Falls and Pittsburgh as a draftsman and retired from the Allegany County Public Library in Cumberland, Md. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 11, at the Centerville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery in Centerville.
