At 5 o'clock Friday evening Mrs. Frederick Shimer, mother of Mrs. Thomas Miller, of 1819 Sixth avenue, and I. P. Shimer, of 2123 Broad avenue, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hammers, at Osterburg, Bedford county, of diseases incident to old age. She had been ailing for several weeks. Deceased was aged 77 years, and for many years resided at Imler Cross Roads, Bedford county. She was a devout Christian woman and a member of the Reformed church. Besides the above mentioned children she is survived by A. K. Shimer, of Gaysport, and J. W. Shimer, of Roaring Spring. Funeral services were conducted in the Reformed church at Imler Cross Roads at 10 o'clock yesterday morning and interment made in the church cemetery. Shimer, of Gaysport, received word on Saturday of the death of his mother, Mrs. Esther Shimer, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hammers, at Osterburg, Bedford county.
