Mrs. Julia Leader Stevens, wife of Rev. Emory M. Stevens, D.D., retired Methodist Episcopal minister and for some years a district superintendent, died at her home in Bedford, on Sunday afternoon. She had been an invalid for several years suffering from progressive paralysis. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Miss Jeanette, teacher in the High school and Edythe, wife of Rev. J. D. Hockman, chaplain in the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Meade, S.D. The Hockman family had left Saturday for Fort Meade, following a visit at the Stevens home. Funeral services will be held at the family home this evening at 7 o'clock, with burial on Wednesday at Three Springs. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 5, 1932
