Penn St., Bedford, died yesterday morning in Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born at Bedford Sept. 26, 1897, a daughter of John C. and Leah (Klotz) Fletcher, and married Richard E. Swift, who died in 1951. A graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Altoona, she had served as a private duty nurse, residing in Atlantic City, N.J., for 35 years prior to returning to Bedford in 1965. Surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. H. L. McGraw of Johnstown, Charles S. of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Margaret Grissinger, Harry H. and Mrs. Robert H. Hammer of Bedford, Mrs. E. C. Dively of Lewisburg, W.Va., and Eugene C. of Washington, Pa. Mrs. Swift was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Bedford, Atlantic City Nurses Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Friends will be received in the Keller Funeral Home, Bedford, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Altoona Mirror, December 23, 1968
