All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ _______________________________________________ WILLIAM THOMPSON William Thompson, editor of the Saxton Herald, died suddenly at his home in Saxton on Thursday night, July 2, about 11 o'clock of heart failure, after a brief illness. He stopped at his physician's office on this way home about ten o'clock, complaining of a pain in his arm and side. He died an hour afterward. The deceased was born at Mooresville, Huntingdon county, in 1863, and was a son of James and Elizabeth Thompson. William Thompson and William Wilson, of Mooresville, moved to Saxton in 1886 and started the Herald. Wilson was killed a year later at his old home since which time Mr. Thompson had full charge. He was married in 1884 to Miss Jennie Breth, who with seven children survive. Funeral Sunday afternoon. Interment in Saxton cemetery. Martinsburg Herald, July 10, 1914
