Weaverling died at his home four miles east of Everett on Saturday. He was about eighty-one years old. When a young man, he worked at the carpenter trade and in the days of the stage coach kept the "Bloody Run" Hotel in Everett. Soon after the close of the civil war, he removed to the farm where he died. In August, 1844, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Ringle. To this union, nine children were born, seven of whom are still living, namely; Mrs. William Klutz, of Bedford township; Ebbert C., at home; Mrs. Clarence Peck, of Evrett; George P., of the Everett Press; Gilbert R. and Mrs. Ellis Williams, of McKeesport, and Mrs. Rufus Zembower, of West Providence township. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church. He was a charitable, honest, God-fearing man. The will of John P. Weaverling, late of West Providence township, has been filed in the register's office. Decedent directs that all his personal property, except what is needed to furnish a room for his wife, be sold and the proceeds equally divided among his children. His wife is to have the income from all of his money which is bearing interest. He gives his farm to his son Ebbert C. Weaverling, who is to take care of his mother during her lifetime, and after her death is to pay to each of testator's heirs the sum of $300, Ebbert C. and George P. Weaverling are appointed executors Bedford Gazette 2/9/1900
