Mrs. Sarah Yeates Whelen    

On Monday, Mrs. Mary R. Otto, of Bedford received notice of the death of her 
aunt, Mrs Sarah Yeates Whelen, at her home in Philadelphia, No. 1814
Rittenhouse Square, February 10. The deceased was born on the Mansfield farm in 
Napier township, Bedford County, nearly seventy-three years ago.  Her father 
was Col. Thomas McElwee.  She was the last member of that now extinct family.
