Whetstone, of Ryot, died. She was the only daughter of Abram Whetstone. The parents and three brothers survive her, Edgar, of Pittsburg, and two brothers at home. She in some way contracted measles, followed by pneumonia and after a short illness, passed away. She was one who had many friends, as the large concourse of people who assembled to pay their last tribute of respect well testified. She was a member of the Reformed church, of Fishertown, and always was regular in her attendance and did what she could for the welfare of her church. She was unusually bright and manifested a great degree of spirituality. Her sun is gone down while it is yet day, but she lives in a world where there is no setting sun nor vale of tears. She was laid to rest in the Fishertown cemetery. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. S. C. Stover, assisted by Revs. Miller and Luckenbill. She was aged 19 years, seven months and nine days. Bedford Gazette March 30, 1900
