The deceased was born and raised in this community and was a popular farmer and respected by all that knew him. He has been an invalid for a number of years. His death was looked for but still caused a shock by the suddenness. The remains were inteered in the cemetery near Schellsburg. Rev. Dorman of Cessna preached the funeral service in the Reformed church in Schellsburg. The funeral was a large one. Quite a number of relatives from all parts of the western part of the county were in attendance. He leaves one sister, three sons and one daughter and quite a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss.
