All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ _______________________________________________ JOHN Henry WOLFE Jr*., 80, FISHERTOWN, DIES Native of Bedford County Had Been ill Two Years; Funeral Saturday PLEASANTVILLE, Oct. 30--John Harvey Wolfe*, aged 80, a prominent farmer of Fishertown for many years, died this morning at 6 o'clock at his home after an illness of two years of a complication of diseases. He had been bedfast for only two weeks. He was a son of John and Mary (Russell) Wolfe, both deceased, and was born in Fishertown. His wife died five years ago, two years after they had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Six children also preceded him in death. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Maud Bowser of Cessna, Mrs. Daisy Daugherty of Spring Hope, Lloyd and John Wolfe, both of Bedford R.D. He was a brother of Albert Wolfe of Fishertown; Mrs. Marietta Otto of Fishertown and Mrs. Rebecca Barefoot of Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted at the Wolfe home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock by Rev. Martin Kaufman, pastor of the local Evangelical Church. Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery on Chestnut Ridge, in charge of Vernon Geisel, local mortician.
