At 10.30 o'clock Wednesday night R. Sewell Wright, a retired merchant of Bedford, died in Washington, D.C., in the 47th year of his age. Mr. Wright, who held a responsible position with the Bedford Springs company, had been in poor health for about two months and had started to North Carolina in the hope of receiving improvement. He became too ill to travel and died as stated above. The deceased was born at Pleasantville, Bedford county, in which county he resided all his life with the exception of five years spent in the village of East Freedom, Blair county. He is survived by his wife, five brothers and one sister, these latter being ex-Associate Judge John C. Wright, of Bedford; Isaac S. and William P. Wright, of Pleasantville; C. C. and G. R. Wright, of Altoona, and Mrs. Cornelia Beckley, of Pleasantville. He was a member of the Lutheran church of Bedford. The funeral announcement will be made later.
