We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ----------------- Petition for Partition of Laurence BULGER's Land, by Elizabeth BULGER ZOOK August Court 1824 To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of the County of Bedford, held at Bedford in and for said County the ____th day of August A.D. 1824. The Petition of Elizabeth ZOOK, widow and relict of Jacob ZOOK, dec'd, late Elizabeth BULGER, one of the heirs at law of Laurence BULGER late of Air township in the County aforesaid, deceased, Humbly she asks That your petitioner's said father died intestate on or about the 21st day of February A.D. 1821, leaving Issue seven children, to wit, your petitioner, Jacob BULGER since dead, leaving issue ten children, to wit, Catharine, Barbara, Mary, Andrew, David, Susannah, Jacob, Christena, John & Samuel BULGER (of whom David BURGER is the Guardian; Catharine BULGER intermarried with John GIFT, Abraham BULGER, Andrew BULGER, Mary intermarried with Isaac GARMAC, and Margaret intermarried with Jacob GARMAC, none of whom but the children of the said Jacob BULGER are in their minority. And that the said Intestate died seized in his demesne as of fee of an and in a certain Messuage Plantation and tract of land situated in the township County aforesaid, bounded by lands now of Thomas LOGAN, Esq, late of Major JOHNSON, And Lima(?), George NAGLE, George DARRAH, Adam GIFT, and Joseph COPE, and containing about one hundred and eighty five acres, should the same be more or less with the appurtenances. Your Petitioner therefore prays your Honors to award an Inquest to make partition of the premises aforesaid to and among the children and Representatives of the said Intestate, in such manner and in such proportions as by the laws of this Commonwealth is directed, if such partition can be made without prejudice to or spoiling the whole thereof. But if such Partition Cannot be made thereof as aforesaid, then to value and appraise the same. And further to inquire and ascertain whether the said Real estate with the appurtenances will conveniently accommodate more than one of the said children of the said Intestate, and if so, how many of the said Children it will conveniently accommodate, and make report of their proceeding to the next general Orphans Court.
