The Warriors Mark Methodist church was the scene of a lovely wedding ceremony on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 14, when Miss Jane Louise Fry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester I. Fry of Warriors Mark, became the bride of Clarence E. Deitz of Bedford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Deitz of Manns Choice. Rev. Paul E. Meyers, pastor of the church, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The couple was attended by Mrs. Glenn Fry, sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honor and these bridesmaids: Miss Annabell Baumgardner and Mrs. Gilbert H. Fisher, cousins of the bride, Miss Helen Heller and Mrs. Jospeh Zitterman. Glen Fry, brother of the bride, was best man and the ushers were Joseph A. Zitterman, David Hess, Harold Wertz, George Crissey. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Wayne L. Mowrey of Chambersburg. She accompanied Miss Geraldine Cunningham of Warriors Mark who sang "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly." The organist played the traditional wedding marches and several organ numbers. The lovely bride, who was given in marriage by her father wore a candlelight satin gown with a decollete neckline edged with a rosepoint lace collar. Her tiered illusion veil was held in place by a rose point lace halo and she carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and baby's breath. The attendants wore gowns of pastel yellow, green, blue and pink with matching halos of flowers. They carried old fashioned nosegays. The matron of honor wore a gown of blue nylon and carried pink rosebuds. The mother of the bride wore a dress of old rose crepe and corsage of white roses. The mother of the bridegroom chose a flowered crepe with blue and white accessories for her attire and corsage of white roses. The bride is a graduate of Warriors Mark-Franklin High school, and of Pennsylvania State college. She is a teacher of home economics in the Bedford High school. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Mann's Choice High school, and attended Thompson Business college of Harrisburg and Loyola university. He is employed by an insurance company in Bedford. The couple is enjoying a wedding trip overland in Canada and on their return will reside in Bedford. Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, August 18, 1948
