Henry of Loysburg. The ceremony took place at the Yellow Creek church of the Brethren, with the uncle of the bride, the Rev. Joseph Clapper officiating at the double-ring ceremony. A piano recital preceded the ceremony, with Mrs. Glen Pressel as pianist. The traditional wedding marches were used. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Earl Burkett, made a lovely appearance in a white ankle-length gown of embroidered organdy over pink silk. She wore a large white picture hat, pink mits, and carried an arm bouquet of Easter lilies. Miss Martha Clapper was maid of honor and Jillann and Rebecca Burkett, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Andrew Henry, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were John Guyer of Loysburg, and Lloyd Walker of Johnstown. Following the wedding, a reception was held on the lawn of the bride's home for the wedding party and immediate families. The couple left for a wedding trip to the northwestern states. The bride is a graduate of the Robert P. Smith High school. Mr. Henry is a graduate of the Replogle High school, and a veteran of World war II. Mr. and Mrs. Henry are now at home to their friends in their apartment in Loysburg.
