Will of William Frazer, Harrison Township, Bedford Co., PA Probated 25 October 1844 In the name of God amen I William Frazer of Harrison Township Bedford County and State of Pennsylvania being Sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding provided by God and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time being and to the end I maybe the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and decare [declare] this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to Say: First and principally I commend my Soul unto the hands of the Almighty God my Creator hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the Heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Savior my body I commit to the Earth at the discretion of my Executors herein named and to Such worldly estate wherewith It hath pleased God to entrust me I dispose of the same as follows I will that my daughter Catherine is to have all my goods stock chattels merchandise and household furniture and as to my land I possess my will it be kept for the support of my son Thomas during his natural life and after that to be appraised and equally divided between my sons and daughters as follows my sons James, William, Benjamin, Catherine M. Gurnsey and Jane, John Henry and Margaret I give and bequeath the same unto my sons and daughters equally to be divided among them share and share alike and I make and name Benjamin Frazer and George Williams Executors of this my last will and Testament. Signed sealed and acknowledged by the Testator in the presence of the subscribed as his last will and testament Dec. 22, A.D. 1843 (signed) John Lafferty William Frazer Bedford County PA. Personally appeared before the Deputy Register for the Probate of Wills and for the Said County John Lafferty and William Frazier [note change of spelling] subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing who being Sworn according to Law do depose and say that they were present and Saw Testator William Frazier sign his name to the same and heard him pronounce and declare Said instrument of writing to be his last will and testament that he desired them to sign their names as witnesses thereto and at the time so doing he the Said Testator was of Sound mind and memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge and belief. Sworn and subscribed this 10th day of October A.D. 1844 Jas. Bowman, Dep. Reg. (signed) John Lafferty William Frazer (statement on reverse) Be it remembered that on the Tenth day of February Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and forty five Letters Testamentary were issued to Benjamin Frazier and George Williams Executors in Said will named they having been first duly Sworn according to Law.
