We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________________ Will of John GOGLEY/GOGUELY (1872) I, John GOGLEY, of Bloody Run Borough in the County of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania (Blacksmith) being of sound mind, memory, and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And first I direct that my body be decently interred in the Methodist Graveyard according to the rules and ceremonies of the M.E. Church. As to such Estates ___ have pleased God to entrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows: Viz: Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved Son David GOGLEY the Mansion House in which I reside in said Borough together with all my household furniture and everything therein. Also my Blacksmith Shop in said Borough together with all the tools therein belonging to me, and also two hundred dollars in money. In consideration whereof he the said David GOGLEY is to take charge of, and proper care of my daughter Sarah GOGLEY, so that she not be ill treated and properly maintained during her lifetime. But should said David not live to do so, then at his death, the personal property and household goods shall be sold, and the real Estate rented and the ___ ___ go from year to year for the support and maintenance of said Sarah GOGLEY. Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved sons Samuel T. GOGLEY, John GOGLEY and Jacob GOGLEY and to my daughters Elizabeth, intermarried with Jacob SMITH, Catharine [should say Rebecca. Catharine, his wife, died before the will was written], intermarried with James Ramsey, and Mary Jane, intermarried with William BLIGHT and Nancy intermarried with Jacob W. BARNDOLLAR. All any real estate situated in West Providence ____, containing about forty acres and also all my notes, accounts, and outstanding debts share and share alike. Except as before stated two hundred dollars to my son David GOGLEY with which he shall defray all expenses. Lastly, I gift ___my beloved son Samuel F. GOGLEY to be the Executor of this my last will and testament. In Witness whereof, I, John GOGLEY the Testator have of this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this second day of December, A.D> one thousand eight hundred and seventy two. That he desired them to sign their names as Witnesses thereto and at the time of so doing, he the testator was of sound and disposing(?) mind memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge and beliefs Swear, Subscribed before me the 11th day of July AD 1873.
