I Evan Griffith of the township of Hopewell and County of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God, do this twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five make and publish this my last will and testement in the manner following, that is to say. First I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel ;now intermarried with Ignatiaus Harden the sum of twenty dollars also I give and bequeath to my son John the sum of five Dollars also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary now Intermaried with John Harden the sum of twenty Dollars also I give and bequeath to my Daughter Lidia now Intermarried with Reuban Miller the sum of twenty Dollars, Also I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin the sum of five Dollars also I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah the sum of twenty dollars and two cows, also I give and bequeath to my Niece Susannah Hains the sum of twenty dollars and one cow and one bed the above sums or Ligisees to be paid out of my Goods and chattles at the Expiration of fifteen months after my dec'd. Also I give and bequeath to my son Abel sixty two acres of Land being a part of missuage (?) or tenement that I now live on to stouck of the north end paralles with Edwars Ellotts survey also I give and bequeath to my (illegible) wife all the residence of that missuage (?) or tenement where I now live on with the Improvements being one hundred acres and sixty peaches during her natural life she making no waste or destruction thereupon, after her decease I give and bequeath the same mifsuage or tenements to my son Evan, to have and to hold and do with as he thinks proper and one house, at my decease and the Residence of my goods and chattles I give to my aforesead wife to do with them as she thinds proper and I make ordain and I ordain George B. King sole Executer of this my last will in trust for the Intent and purposes in this my will contained. In witness whereof I this said Evan Griffith have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Personally appeared before the subscriber Register for the Probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County Isaac Bollman and Thomas Cook the witnesses to the above and foregoing instrument of writing who being duly sworn and affirmed according to law do say that hey were personally present and heard and saw the testator Evan Griffith sign seal and declare the above and foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament, that at the time thereof the testator was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding according to the best of these deponants knowledge and belief and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the testator and at his request affirmed to by Isaac Bollman and Sworn to by Thomas Cook this 4th day of March AD 1826.
