Out of natural love and affection and in order to assure my daughter Mary intermarried with William M. I give her a judgment note for six thousand dollars which she has entered up against me in the Court of Common Pleas of Bedford County and for which I never received any valuable consideration: now my desire is that my said daughter satisfy said judgment and lieu thereof accept this provision I now make for her to wit; I give and devise to her all my real estate remaining and wheresoever the same may be situated subject to my wife's dower. I give to my wife Mary all my personal estate of whatever nature or kind it may be including money and credits due me, subject however to the payment of all just debts due by me and funeral expenses attending my decease and the expenses of administration of my estate. I appoint my trustful son Abner J. Griffith Executor of this my last will and testament. Witness my hand and seal this 11th day of September 1880.
