Probated: September 22, 1798 WILL OF RACHEL KINTON, [maiden name CARSON] [wife of Thomas Kinton who died in 1779] February the tenth one thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight. I give my blessing and Gods blessing and Gods blessing to my children one and all and what little effects I have I allow to be divided as follows: Viz. One note dated the eleventh day of December one Thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine (11 Dec 1798). One note dated December the fourteenth one Thousand seven hundred and eight-nine (14 Dec 1798). One note dated the fifth day of September one Thousand seven hundred and ninety three (5 Sept 1793). One note dated December the eleventh (Dec 11) and an order dated August the twenty second One Thousand seven hundred and ninety-four by the hand of Jacob Bonnett sheriff (Aug 22, 1794). One note dated March the eighteenth One Thousand eight hundred and ninety-six (Mar 18, 1796.) One note dated June the seventeenth One Thousand eight hundred and ninety-six (June 17, 1796). One note dated the first day of February One Thousand eight hundred and ninety- eight (1 Feb 1798) and my Mear [mare] is to be sold and price and all these notes is to be divided equally except twenty five pounds of which I allow ten pounds I give to ANN and RACHEL McGAUGHEY for their mothers share and five pounds I give to THOMAS KENTONíS son KENTON and five pounds I give to ROBERT KINTON and five pounds I give to CARSON KINTON and the rest of the notes is to be divided equally amongst the other four girls and as for my cow and calf and the stone of the Apple Mills I have given to my son SIMON KINTON for his share and my bed and the clothes that is at RACHEL ADAMSíS I give her beside her share of the notes and my little bed and bed clothes that is on my bed. I give to JANE NIXON beside her share of the notes and if JAMES ANDERSON will not allow his children SARAH and SIMON ANDERSON to get his wifeís share, it must be divided between RACHEL ADAMS, JANE NIXON, RACHEL ROSE, ANN and MARY ROSE who is to get their motherís and my Mearís [Mareís] coult [colt] that was coulted in the year of One Thousand seven hundred and ninety-six. I have sold and given a Bill of Sale of for value received of THOMAS KINTON who I allow for my Executor. Personally came before me the subscriber Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said county the above named, VALENTINE WERTZ and ROBERT LARIMER, the subscribing witnesses in the within Instrument named and being duly sworn did declare and say that they were personally present and heard and saw the above named RACHEL KINTON sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the within Instrument of writing as and for her last Will and Testament and that the names above subscribed as witnesses are the proper hands writing of them the said VALENTINE and ROBERT and that at the time of executing the same the said RACHEL was of sound disposing and memory to the best of these deponents knowledge and belief.
