In the name of God Amen, I Henry Smith of Colerain township, Bedford County and State of Pennsylvania, farmer, being aged and infirm in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding considering the uncertainty of life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following to wit: First It is my will and I order and direct that all my just debts at the time of my decease shall be paid by my son Frederick and in consideration for such payment, it is my will that he shall have all my personal Estate absolutely. Secondly - It is my will and I order and direct that my beloved wife shall be supported and maintained in a suitable manner by my son Frederick during her life and further I give and bequeath to her the use and occupancy of our present bedroom with the stove therein during her life and further I give and bequeath to her all my household goods during her life. Thirdly - I give and devise to my son Frederick the tract of land on which I now reside Containing two hundred an forty nine acres and three fourths of an acre to hold to him and to his heirs and assigns forever subject to the bequeath aforesaid to my wife and to the payment of the following legacy viz. Fourthly - I give and bequeath to my daughter Louise four hundred and twenty five dollars to be paid to her by my son Frederick one year after the decease of my wife, my said daughter intermarried to George Wharton. Fifthly - I give and bequeath to the children of my son John four hundred and twenty five dollars to be equally divided among them by my son Frederick as soon as they shall attain the age of 21 years respectively. And should either of them die before that I devise the share of the departed should be divided among the survivors. Sixthly - I give and bequeath to my son Peter the sum of four hundred and twenty two dollars to be paid by my son Frederick in the third year after the decease of my wife aforesaid. Seventhly - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah married to Frederick Rice four hundred and twenty five dollars to be paid to her by my son Frederick in four years after the decease of my wife aforesaid. Eighthly - I give and bequeath to my grandson Jacob Rosenberg, only child of by daughter Polly, two hundred dollars to be paid to him by my son Frederick in five years after the decease of my wife aforesaid. Ninethly - I give and bequeath to my son Henry the sum of four hundred and twenty five dollars to be paid to him by my son Fredrick in six years after the decease of my wife aforesaid. Tenthly - I give and bequeath to my son Frederick four hundred and twenty five dollars imbraced? in the devise of the land to him aforesaid. Eleventhly - I give and bequeath to my daughter Barbara married to Jacob Mills four hundred and twenty five dollars to be paid to her in seven years after the decease of my wife aforesaid by my son Frederick. Twelthly - I give and bequeath to my son Adam two hundred dollars to be paid to him by my son Frederick in eight years after the decease of my wife aforesaid. Thirteenthly - I give and bequeath to my daughter Eve married to Jacob Kegg four hundred and twenty five dollars and to my daughter Eleanor married to William McDowell four hundred and twenty five dollars - the one half of each of their two legacies to be paid by my son Frederick in nine years and the other half in ten years after the decease of my wife aforesaid. But should I survive my wife, then the time of payment of all the aforesaid beginning is to be counted from the time of my decease instead of that of my wife. Fourteenthly - It is my will and I order and direct that my son Frederick shall have the sole use possession and profit of my land before devised to him from the time of my decease until the death of my wife at the yearly rent of sixty dollars this also supporting his mother aforesaid. Lastly - I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my son Frederick and my friend John Folck Jr. of Rainsburg to be the Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament.
