All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ _________________________________________ 1807 Bedford County Will Book, Volume 1, page 209 Last Will And Testament of Jacob Stiffler The Last Will and Testament of Jacob Stifler - In the name of God, Amen, Be it remembered that I, Jacob Stifler of Bedford County, Greenfield Twp, State of Pennsylvania being Weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and for following, that is to say, my body shall be beried cording to the Christianity rules, and I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Catarina Stifler all thise falling articles, that is one bed and bedstad, her one chaise and one first _____, and the letle iron kitle and the _____ oven and too peuter plates and three spoons and Spinning wheel and _____ six pound of Woll and the third part of the half an acar of flax, that is in the ground now and all the ould flax from the last years and too wooding buckits which I give all to my beloved wife, as a free and sepperate gift and all the remainder of my goods, chatles, and all and everything shall be sold by my Executors, Jacob Schmett and William Dickey in the time of fore weks after my desacing, and then my beloved Wife Catarina Stifler shall have the third part of the remainder money shall bee mad into fore equally parts, then my son John shall have one part out of the fore parts and my son Michael shall have one part out of the fore parts and then my son Conrad shall have one part out of the fore parts and then the forth part shall be med into six equally parts and to be veided, as it is hereafter menchened my daughter Eifa, the wife of Henry Helsol shall have the one part of the six, and my daughter Elizabeth Feesol shall have one part of the six, and my son Peter one part of the six and then my daughter Catarina, the wife of Fartenant Tickerhoof, hir fore heirs, that is her eldest daughter Catarina, and her eldest son Jacob and her second son Henry and her second daughter Elisabeth shall have one part of the six as now as they are twenty one years of aege, and my son Adam, or to his heirs, shall have one part of the six, and if my son Adam dont com in the time of one year to receive the money after my Executors have publiged in the pepers, then my Executors shall devid the said Adam his share, into three shars to my three Sons, John and my son Michael and my son Conrad, then my movable estate is all devoided, and my real estate, is in first and foremost, that my son Conrad, his heirs and assigns, shall have and hold the plantation where I now live on, for the sume of one hundred and twenty pounds in money to be paid in saverly payments, as it will be hereafter minshend. The first year after my dec'e my son Conrad shall pay the sum of ten pounds unto my beloved Wife Catarina, and the payment in one year farder to be paid the sum of thirty five dollars to my son John, then the next yearly payment to be paid the sum of thirty five dollares unto my son Michael, and then the two following yearly payments is forty dollars each and the first is to be paid to my son John of the forty dollars payments and then the seciant forty dollar payments is to be paid unto son Michael and then paying this subscribed payment off, then the remainder of the money shall be devided into six evely payments and the yearly one paid out of the six, to be paid, and til all is paid, and the first payment out of the six is to be paid to my son Henry and the sacient payment out of the six parts, is to be paid unto my son Peter, and then the third payment is to be paid to my son Adam, and then the forth payment is to be paid unto my daughter Eve, wife of Henry Helsle and then the fifth payment to be paid unto my daughter Catarina, hir fore first heirs, that is to say Catarina and Jacob and Henry and Elizabeth Tickerhof and the sixt and last payment to be paid to my daughter Elizabeth and if son Adam should not come, or either of his heirs in the time of one year after my dec'e, then the _____ shall be veided into three equal shers and then my son John shall have one shere and my son Michael one shere and my son Conrad the third shere and my beloved wife, her part, what I gives unto hir in first and foremost is to live on the plantation where she is now in the same House and if my beloved wife, and my son Conrad doant agree in one house, then my son Conrad, shall build a house for my beloved wife, eighteen by sixteen feet with a stone chimney and to glass windows and boards below and above sufficentimed, and the house shall be built north west seid of the Spring House and my beloved Wife shall have and hold yearly twelf bushel of whet, and eight bushel of Ray and one hundreth weighth Porke, and one acor of medow and pastor for one cow, with the _____Cow, that the said plantation and all the above menshend articles I gives unto my beloved Wife for her to have and to hold in duering her life. I give and bequeath the same to my beloved Wife, Catarina Stifler, whom I hereby appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. Jacob was the father of John Stiffler who married Eve Sipes. John was the father of Catherine Stiffler who married Henry J. Conrad.
