Keyes Nov 13, 2004 Berks Co., PA, DB 19, p. 228: [Note in the left margin which relates to a deed on the previous page and reads:] This assignment is ??????? on the back of the original on record on the foregoing page To All People to whom these presents shall come Joseph Webb of the Township of Brunswig in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania carpender send greeting. Know Ye that for and in consideration of the sum of nine pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by Jacob Miller of the Township County and State aforsaid at and before the Sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have and by these presents do grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over All my right title claim interest property and demand whatsoever of in to or out of the within written Deed and the lot of Ground therein described mentioned meant or intended so to be with the appertenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Joseph Webb his Heirs and Assigns to have and to hold the same unto him the said Jacob Miller his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and benefit and behoof of him the said Jacob Miller his and assigns for ever. In Witness whereof the said Joseph Webb hath hereunto set his hand and seal the 20th, day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one. Joseph Webb [seal] Sealed and delivered in the prescence of Hannah Orwig Peter Orwig.____ Received the day of the date of the above written Assignment of & from the above named Jacob Miller the sum of nine pounds lawfull Money Pennsylvania it being for the consideration money above mentioned in full I say Recd. by me Joseph Webb.___ Be it remembered that on the 20th, day of January AD 1801 Before me (seal) the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County came the above named Joseph Webb and acknowledged the above written Assignment to be his Act and Deed and desired that the same might be recorded according to Law.
