Keyes Dec 1, 2004 Berks Co., PA, DB B3, p. 401: Benjamin Webb to Peter Orbig [Orwig] “This Indenture Made the twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy eight Between Benjamin Webb of the Township of Brunswig in the County of Berks and province of Pennsylvania yeoman of the one part And Peter Orbig of the Township of Brunwig aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Webb for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred & fifty pounds Lawful money of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by the said Peter Orbig at and before the the Sealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed Released & Coinfirmed And by these presents Doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff Release & Confirm Unto the said Peter Orbig his Heirs and Assigns, All that the following Described Tract or piece of land situate Lying and being in the Township of Brunswig in the County of Berks aforesaid, And bounded as follows, to Wit,Beginning at a post in a line of Joseph Jordens? Land & from there extending North Sixty Degrees East 163 & one half perches to a White Oak thence north 30 degrees West one hundred & forty two perches to a Stone? thence South 80 degrees East 20 perches to a Stone thence North 10 degrees East 55 & 3/4 perches to a post thence North 60 degrees West 10? perches to a post thence North 10 degrees East 30 perches to a post thence North 80 degrees West 260 perches & one quarter to a stone thence South 80 degrees West 97 perches and one half to a post thence South 10 degrees East 60 perches to a post thence East 99 perches to a post thence South 60 degrees EAst 200 perches to a post thence North 60 degrees East About 50 perches to a stone, thence North 23 perches & 3/4 of a perch to a stone thence West 166 perches to a Corner, thence South 115 perches & one half to a White Oak thece East 190 perches to a Corner thence South 20 degrees East to the place of Beginning Containing four hundred and Sisty nine acres and one half and the Usual Allowance for Roads &c. It being the greater part of four Several Tracts of Land Surveyed by Virtue of four Warrants bearing Date Respectively the 4th day of March 1750 unto a Certain John Webb in Fee Who by four ?????? of writings duly Created bearing date respectively the 19th day of April Anno Domini 1774 granted & Confirmed the same among other Lands unto the said Benjamin Webb party hereto in fee As by the same appear Together With all and Singular the Edified Buildings and Improvements Barns Stables gardens Orchards Ways Woods Waters Water Courses Rights Liberties Priveledges Hereditaments and Appurtenances Whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining And the Reversions Remanders Rents ???? & profits thereof. And all the Estate Rights Title Interest as Possession Property Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the said Ben Webb of in and to the same And every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Tract or piece of Land above mentioned And Described Herditaments and premisses hereby granted bargained and slod or meant mentioned or intended so to be With the appurtenances unto the said Peter Orbig his Heirs and Assigns To the only proper use and behoof of him the said Peter Orbig his Heirs and Assigns forever Under & Subject to the Purchase Money Interest and quit Rent due and to accrue to the Chief Lord or Lords of the Fee thereof. And the said Benjamin Webb for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant promise and grant to and With the said Peter Orbig his Heirs and Assigns the said hereby granted Bargained and sold premisses and every part & parcel thereof against him & his Heirs and against all every other person and persons whomsoever Lawfully claiming or to Claim the premisses by from or under him then or any other of them to the said Peter Orbig his Heirs and Assigns Shall and Will Warrant and for ever defend by these presents Subject Nevertheless as aforesaid. In Witness Whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Seals. Dated the Day and Year first above Written Benjamin Webb (seal) Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Us -- Sebastion? Riess? Henry Christ. Received the day of the date of the above written Indenture of the Above named Peter Orbig the sum of 1450 pounds Lawful Money of Pennsylvania it being the Consideration Money above mentioned I say Received by me. Benjamin Webb. Witnesses present at signing Sebastion Reiss [of Reiff] Henry Christ Berks County ?? The twenty eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy eight Before me Henry Christ Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid Came the above named Benjamin Webb and brought the above written Indenture Which he Acknowledged to be his Act and Deed & Desired the same may be Recorded as such -- Henry Christ (seal) Recorded & this Record and the original diligently compared & found to agree exactly word for word and figure ???
