Haus, great, great grandson of Benjamin Franklin Haus RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF HEALTH, READING, PA. ON THE DEATH OF THEIR FIRST SECRETARY, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HAUS Adopted October 1, 1873 Resolved - That the members of the Board of Health are called upon to mourn the loss by death of their first Secretary, B. F. Haus, Esq. It is a loss which we keenly feel, because his services to this Board were of an almost inestimable character. Resolved - That we bear testimony to his uniform courtesy, his punctuality and devotion and the care and prudence with which the duties of his position were attended to. Resolved - That in the death of such a man Reading loses an estimable citizen, and the City Government an official whose record was one of integrity, honesty and faithfulness. Resolved - That the sympathies of this Board are extended to the family and relatives of the deceased in this hour of their bereavement. Resolved - That these resolutions be entered upon the minutes of this Board, that they be published in the papers of the city, and a copy of the same be sent to the family of our deceased Secretary.
