  READING, PA. – Nov. 9 --- George W. Durell, prominent in Grand Army circles, and
  captain for a time of the famous Ringgold battery, one of the five companies
  composing the “First Defenders” during the war, 
  died today from an apolectic stroke, aged 65 years.
