The services were conducted by the Rev. N.A. Barr, pastor of the Evangelical Church, of Warwick. He preached a very impressive sermon from the text. “Surely, the bitterness of death is past,” which is found in 1 Samuel, 15th chap., part of the 32d verse. The funeral was well attended, the house being crowded with sympathetic friends and relatives. Deceased was 86 years, 5 months and 26 days old and leaves to mourn his loss 4 children- one son and three daughters; 13 grand children and 11 great-grandchildren, also one brother 82 years and a sister about 70 years of age.
