Aetna, died, aged 78 years, at the home of Jonathan Hower. Deceased was married to Catharine Boyer, who preceded him in death several years. Following children survive: John, supervisor of Tulpehocken township; George, of Lebanon; Mrs. Wm. Hower, Mrs. John Hower, Mrs. Levi Clay, all of Mt. Aetna, Mrs. Levi Moyer, of Millersburg. Interment in the Union cemetery today at 9:30 a.m. Deceased spent the greater part of his life on his farm near the above town, now owned by N. L. Kalbach, and in addition to farming operated the distillery, which was then known as Hunsicker's distillery, situated in the centre of the farm, where he distilled thousands of barrels of old-style rye whisky, realizing always the highest prices. Mr. Hunsicker was always a firm believer in pow-wowing and served in that capacity for a number of years with great success in Berks and neighboring counties. He died having the reputation of being the best pow-wower in that section of the country. Lebanon Daily News, January 4, 1896
