David Link, Esq., of Noble township, was found, by his wife, dead in his bed Friday morning, Jan. 14. When his wife retired the night before she left him reading, being apparently as well as usual, and in good spirits. She did not know what time he retired as they occupied seperate beds. Mr. Link was born in Berks County, Pa., July 12, 1817. Part of his younger days he spent in running a boat on the Schuylkill canal between Pottsville and Philadelphia. In 1855 he came to Branch County, where he aquired a fine property. He was a kind and accommodating neighbor and friend, and was universally esteemed and respected, and will be missed not only in his town, where he has held positions of official trust, but by acquaintances throughout the county. He leaves a wife, two sons and many relatives. Posted with permission.
