Berks County Register of Wills-Clerk of Orphans' Court Reading, PA Will of William Coleman - Reading, PA 29 June 1819 29 July 1819 (D 224) In the name of God, amen, William Coleman of the Borough of Reading County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania Innkeeper being weak inbody but of sound mind Memory and (strikeover) understanding blessed by the Allmighty God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this life, do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and (form?) following to wit, first of all I commend my immortal Soul into the hands of God who gave my body to the earth to be buried in a desent and cristianlike Manner, at the descretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and as to such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased Good to bless me in this life I do hereby give and dispose of the same, in the following Manner to wit, It is my Will and I do hereby give unto my beloved Wife Catharine, my two houses and lot of Ground situate on the East side of Callowhill Street in the Borough of Reading aforesaid, I also give unto her all my House and Kitchen furniture, and my three Cows tohave and tohold the said Real and Personal Estates unto here my said Wife until my Daughter Sarah shall arive to the age of twenty one years, and as to the residence and remainder of my Personal Estate, It is my Will that the same shall be sold for the payments of my Debts, It is further my Will and I do hereby order and direct my Executrix herein after named that as soon as my said Daughter Sarah shall arive to the age of twenty one years, shall sell at Public sale my said two house and lot of ground and shall also sell what other remains of my House and Kitchen furniture, the one third of the purchase money arising out of the sale of my Real Estate shall remain (??????) on the same, and the yearly Interest thereof shall bepaid unto my said Wife, during her natural life, I also give unto my said Wife, the one equal third of all the money arising out of the sale of my Personal Estate, (after the payments of my Debts,) and the (???????) and remainder ofthe money arising out of my Real and Personal Estates, I give and bequeath the same unto my Children namely to wit, JOHN, JACOB, DANIEL, NICHOLAS, GEORGE, HENRY, CATHARINE, MARY intermarried with THOMAS KEPPLER, ELIZABETH, REBECCA AND SARAH, share and share alike.. And lastly It is my Will and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved Wife CATHERINE Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby making Null and Void all former Wills by (an?) heretofore Made declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Nineteen.
