Will of Elizabeth Kline Tulpehocken Township 1836

     In the name of God, Amen.  I, Elizabeth Kline of Tulpehocken
township in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, widow, being
of perfect health of body and of sound mind, memory and understanding,
but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and
publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following to
wit:

     First, It is my will and I do order, that all my just debts and
funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can
be after my decease.

    Item, I do order and direct, that my Executor hereinafter named,
shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease, sell and dispose
of all my Estate, real and personal of what kind or nature soever the
same may be in the County of Berks aforesaid or elsewhere, to such
person or persons and for such price of prices as may be reasonably
gotten for the same, and for that purpose I do hereby authorize and
empower my said Executor to sign, seal, execute and acknowledge all such
deed or deeds of conveyance as may be requisite and necessary for the
granting and assuring the same to the purchase or purchasers thereof in
fee simple.  And the monies arising from such sale of the real and
personal property shall be divided amongst seven of my children, my son
Daniel is excluded from any share or shares of the above mentioned
property, he has had the preference as considered out of the Estate of
my late husband deceased, and those of my seven children who are in
arrear of some of  them, out of the Estate of my late husband deceased
shall be first made equal with the monies arising out of my Estate, and
the remainder or balance in the hands of my Executor, after costs and
charges are paid shall then be equally divided amongst my seven
children.  (Daniel excluded as above mentioned.)

     And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Philip to be
the Executor of this my will, hereby revoking all other wills, Legacies
and Bequests by me heretofore made, and declaring this and no other to
be my last Will and Testament.

     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sea, the twenty
second day of August, one thousand, eight hundred and thirty six.

Berks County - On the 7th day of March Anno Domini 1840 appeared John
Giester and Adam Schoener Esq., witnesses to the foregoing instrument of
writing and being duly sworn according to law, did depose and say that 
they were present and did see and hear the Testator Elizabeth Kline sign
(by making her mark) seal publish pronounce and declare this instrument
of writing as and for her last will and Testament and that at the time
of the doing thereof, she the said Testatix was of sound mind, memory
and understanding, to the best to their Knowledge, observation and
belief.

Proved March 7th and Letters Testamentary in Common form under the seal
of office were granted to Philip Kline (a son) the Executor therein
named - he being first duly qualified according to law.
