Exhibited December 31, 1808 [Last Will & Testament Probated 12 February 1799] In the Name of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, Amen. I Conrad Strasser am a feeble and mortal man. I am therefore intented that this shall be my Last Will and Testament and am of a good memory so long as it pleases the Lord. First I recomand my soul in the hand of the Lord and when I die it is my desire to be burried in a christian manner. First my wife Christina shall have the House wherein now Johannes lives for her dowry so long as she keeps my name and the garden by the House my childern shall keep in order for her use so long as she keeps my name and the meadow so far as to the great creek and half a acre land for potatoes this they must plough and bring dung to it in the right time and half a Acre flax land and the land if it is fit then she shall have it near to the house and if not she must take it where it is fit. Forty Bushels Rye they shall give her and three Bushel wheat and twenty Bushel [ ? ] wheat and twenty Bushel indian corn every Year, the grain they must bring for her to the Mill and the flour and the bran back to the house, they shall give to her six sheeps and these sheeps shall pasture with their own sheeps, the fire wood so much as she want they must bring to the House, they shall give to her three Cows and they shall pasture with their own Cows and one Bushel and a half coarse Salt and half a Bushel fine Salt every Year so long as she keeps my name and they shall give Shoes to her and to the childern so many as the want every Year so long as the childern live with her and the three youngest Boys shall learn a trade so soon as they are sixteen year old and all this they shall give to her so long as she keeps my name. [Secondly] My people shall keep the Land and the moveable goods together and work together and pay the debts and after the debts are paid the Land and the moveable Goods shall be praised and divided in equal Parts amongst my heirs; that this is my last will and Testament I certify by my Hand and Seal. Conrad Strasser (CS) This is a true Translation of the Original Philip Pauli [Laubi?] Witnesses Jacob Shappel Johann Georg Voigt Registers Office Reading in Berks County Feb 12th, 1799, When personally appeared Jacob Shappel and John George Vogt witnesses to the afore written Will, and on their oaths on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God did severally depose and say that they were present together and did see and hear Conrad Strasser the Testation herein named, Sign, Seal, Pronounce publish and declare the same writing to be his last Will and Testament and that at the time the doing thereof he the said Testator was of sound mind, memory & understanding, to the best of their knowledge and as they verily believe & further that the names Jacob Shappel and John George Vogt [Voigt] [ ? ] are of the proper hands writing of the said deformants respectively by their [ ? ] as witnesses in the presence of each other, at the request & in the presence of the said Testator. Register] The fourth accompt of Conrad Strasser and Andrew Smith administrators, with the Will annexed of the Estate of Conrad Strasser, late of Windsor Township in Berks county, farmer, deceased. The accomptants charge themselves with the balance remaining in their hands, as appears in their third accompt rendered on the 2d of April, 1808 -- L829.0.4. The said accomptants crave allowance for the following disbursements and just charges paid for and out of the Estate of said deceased, since the Rendering of their last accompt. By cash paid to John Strasser in full for his share, coming to him, out of his mothers Christina Strasser's share, due her from her father Hans Nicholas Strasser, and which said share the said Conrad Strasser had received as Guardian for the said John Strasser -- Principal and Interest to this day as per Receipt -- L 33. 8. 0. By cash paid to John Strasser, Attorney &etc. of Magdalena Strasser, for her share of her mother, Christina Strasser's share, due her from her father Hans Nicholas Strasser, and which said share, the said Conrad Strasser had received as Guardian for the said Magdalena -- as per receipt -- L 33. 8. 0. By cash paid John Strasser, in full of a bond given to Catharine Erdly, wife of Jacob Erdly, which remains a lien on the Estate purchased by the said John Strasser and which Bond is in the hands of John Meyer, Esqr.
