All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Barbara Mihalcik christielisabeth@yahoo.com August 12, 2009, 10:21 pm Source: Berks County Courthouse Written: February 22, 1789 Will of Catherina Bachtel 1789 Amity Township Berks County Pennsylvania I Catherina Bachtel of the township of Amety in the county of Bearks and State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak of Body but of Sound mind memory and understanding thanks be to God, therefore calling to mind the mortality of the Body that it is Appointed unto all People once to Die and after this the Judgment ~ have thought Proper to Dispose of my temporal Estate which God in mercy hath Pleased me with In manner and form following that is to Say ----- First I will that all my Just Debts and funeral Expences be fully Paid and Discharged by my Executor Herein after Named ----- Item I also give and Devise unto my Sister Susannah wife of Henry Remby the Sum of five Pounds in Spacie to be Paid by my Executors in Six weaks after my Desease ----- Item I also give and Devise unto my Sister Sevilla wife of John Pott the Sum of five Pounds in Spacie to be Paid out of my Estate by Executors hereafter Mentioned in Six weaks after my Desease ----- Item I also give and Devise unto my Brother Phillip Leffel the Sum of Seven Pounds in Real Spacie to be Paid out of my Estate by my Executor, in Six weaks after my Desease Item I also give and Devise unto my Sister Elezabeth wife of Phillip Marquest the Sum of Eight Pounds in Real Spacie and my Sadle and my Coper Kettle which Said money Sadle and Kettle is to be Paid and Delivered to her by my Executors of my Estate in Six weaks after my Desease ----- Item I also give and Devise unto my Mother the Sum of ten Pounds in Real Spacie and my Bed and Bed Stead and all its furniture belonging unto the Same in Six weaks after my Desease ----- Item I also will and Devise that my four Sisters and my mother Namely Susanah Sibilla Elezebeth and Eve wife Benjamine Boone, Shall Divide all my Cloths for Equal Shears, Shear and Shear alike --- Item I also will and Devise that my Three Sisters which is Susannah Sivilla and Elezebeth and my Mother Shall Devid all the Remainder of my Estate Equally among them Shear and Shear alike which is all Puter and houshold goods.
