His will was probated after this date. Will of Conrad Mohr 5/23/1807: In the name of God amen, I, Conrad MOHR, of Robeson Township in the county of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being aged, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following this is to say: Imprimis, my will is that my body should be decently buried, my just debts and funeral charges, all honestly and speedily paid out of my Estate by my Executors herein after named. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth (wife of Bernhard WINDLE) the sum of two hundred pounds in cash, but whatever her said husband may be indebted to me at the time of my decease, must be deducted thereout, and the remainder thereof paid to my said daughter or any person she may order and appoint to receive it for her use, within one year after my death. Item, I give and bequeath to my grandson John RICHARDS (son of my daughter Mary Elizabeth, deceased), the sum of two hundred pounds in cash, to be paid to him when he arrives to the age of twenty-one years, to be at his free will and disposal forever, if he should be then capable to take care of himself, till which time it shall remain in the care of my Executors herein after named, to be put in interest, and the interest thereof apply'd towards the education and maintenance of my said grandson, but if the interest will not be sufficient for his maintenance and education, till he arrives to the age of twenty-one years, my six sons, viz. John, Henry, Jacob, George, Conrad and Christian, shall contribute equally towards the deficiency, out of the legacies herein after given them. And if he should remain simple, and not be in a condition or capacity to take care of himself, when he has arrived to the age of twenty-one years; then the said legacy shall remain at interest under the care of my Executors, or a suitable guardian, to be for that purpose appointed, and the interest thereof apply'd towards his maintenance; and if that will not be sufficient, the principal shall be made use of, at the discretion of the said executors or guardian as occasion may require; and if there should be any of the legacy let after the decease of my said grandson, that remained shall be equally divided among all my aforesaid six sons; Item, all the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, not herein before bequeathed, I give to my said six sons, to wit. John, Henry, Jacob, George, Conrad and Christian MOHR, to be equally divided among them. And lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my two sons Conrad MOHR and Christian MOHR, to be the Executors of this my last Will and Testament; hereby revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand, and seal; the twenty third day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven. Signed, sealed, published, and declared by the said testator, as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto: Christian ERGUTH and Peter GERTH and Catherine MOYER(MOIER). Contributor's Note: Conrad MOHR is my gr5grandfather, thru his son George. He emigrated in 9/1741 on ship 'Lydia' at age 22. He married Elizabeth KIELER on 7/14/1747 at New Hanover Lutheran Church, now Montgomery Co PA, a dau of Henry KIELER/KYLER and Anna Catharine, of Colebrookdale. Elizabeth died 12/1804.
