KLEPSER, wealthy operator of flour and feed mills, is one of Blair County's leading citizens. The owner of mills established by his father in 1866, he has been identified with the flour and feed business nearly all his life, an he is now one of the most successful and well-known operators in that field. Mr. Klepser was born in Martinsburg, Blair County, December 9, 1866, the son of David M. Klepser, a miller, who died in 1875. Harry M. Klepser was educated in the grade and high schools in Blair County, and on leaving school associated himself with his father, who had, in 1866, established the flour and feed mill in Martinsburg. When the father died in 1875, the younger Mr. Klepser, and his brother, David M., became the owners of the mill. David M. retired from business in 1920, selling out to Harry M., who is now sole owner of the firm, which still operates under the name of Klepser Brothers. In 1876 the firm established a distributing plant in Altoona in conjunction with the Martinsburg mill, and at the present time the concern occupies 50,000 square feet of floor space, the total of both mills. Twelve men are in the employ of the Klepser firm, which delivers its products all over the county. Mr. Klepser is a Republican. He belongs to the Blairmont Country Club, and to the Altoona Chamber of Commerce. He maintains main offices at No. 831 Nineteenth Street. He and his family are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Klepser married, in Altoona, in 1893, Minnie Bateman, and of their union there are seven children: 1. Frank W., who died in the World War. 2. Ruth, now Mrs. Findley. 3. John M., an attorney. 4. June. 5. Ralph, associated with his father in business. 6. Helen. 7. George.
