MILLER, brother and partner of Nevin N. Miller (see preceding biography), is also well known in the general fuel and supply business. He is a prominent church man of Tyrone, and is, like the other Mr. Miller, active in civic and fraternal affairs. Harry R. Miller was born in Martinsburg, February 26, 1889. He was educated in the public schools of Martinsburg, and on leaving the Martinsburg High School, concluded his academic education in Altoona High School. He then rounded off his schooling by getting a commercial education in one of the Altoona business colleges. After his education had been completed, he was employed in the bank at Martinsburg for one year. He then came to Tyrone and joined his brother in the fuel and supply business, finally becoming vice-president and treasurer of the Tyrone Fuel and Supply Company. Mr. Miller is a member of Tyrone Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows; of Tyrone Chapter, Junior Order United American Mechanics; the United Commercial Travelers' Association, and the Tyrone Kiwanis Club. He is a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Tyrone. Harry R. Miller married, in Martinsburg, in June, 1912, Mabel M. Acker, daughter of Henry D. and Sara C. Acker. Of this union there is one son, Roland A. Miller, born in 1916.
