To George Koon of the County of Blair Esquire Sends Greeting: Whereas it appears by the return made and transmitted to me according to law that you the said George Koon have been duly elected a Justice of the Peace for the Township of Blair in the county of Blair. Now know you that in conformity with the constitution and laws of the Commonwealth in such case made and provided. I do by these presents commission you to be a Justice of the Peace in and for the said Township of Blair in the County of Blair. Hereby giving and granting unto you full right and title to have and to execute all and singular the powers jurisdictions and authorities and to receive and enjoy all and singular the emoluments to a Justice of the Peace lawfully belonging or in anywise appertaining by virtue of the constitution and Laws of this Commonwealth. To have and to hold this commission and the office hereby granted unto you the said George Koon for the term of five years to be completed from the day of the date of these presents if you shall so long behave yourself well. Given under my hand and the Great Seal of the State at Harrisburg this sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two and the Commonwealth the seventy sixth. Hughes By the governor Secretary of the Commonwealth Recorded March 29th A.D. 1852 by (no signature given) Bond of George Koon a Justice of the Peace for Blair Township (and sureties) to The Commth of Penna approved James Gardner Associate Judge Know all men by these presents that we George Koon and David Koon and Abraham Koon are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the sum of one thousand dollars lawful money of the United States to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated the 29th day of March A. D. 1852. Whereas the above bounder George Koon has been duly elected a Justice of the Peace for the township of Blair in and for the County of Blair at the election held on the 20th day of Feb. 1852. Now the condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounder George Koon shall faithfully account for and pay over all moneys that may come into his hands as Justice of the Peace aforesaid during his continuance in office there this obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in force and virtue. Before me the Recorder of Deeds in and for said County personally came George Koon who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that he will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and that he will discharge the duties of the office of a Justice of the Peace in and for the Township of Blair in the said county of Blair with fidelity.
