All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Newry Written: February 7, 1859 Recorded: August 29, 1867 Blair County Deed Book M, pages 311-312 Dr. Daniel Beigle and wife to George Koon This Indenture made the seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine between Dr. Daniel Beigle of Newry, Blair Township in the county of Blair and State of Pennsylvania and Mary Ellen his wife of the first part and George Koon of Newr , township, county and state aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said part of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged ha- granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, and confirmed and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell, alien enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns, all the following part of a lot of ground situated in Newry aforesaid, marked 97, beginning at the South East Connor (sic) of said lot thence along Bedford Street fifteen feet, thence back towards alley thirty seven feet thence South fifteen feet to place of a lot owned by said Geo. Koon, thence along said lot thirty seven feet to the place of beginning, being part of a lot of ground conveyed by Patrick Cassidy and wife to William McConnell in trust for use of the heirs of Barnabas Courtney Decd who by his last will and testament duly proved and approved and recorded in the county of Huntingdon the 9th day of November A. D. 1812 bequeathed said lot of ground to William B. McConnell as by said deed and will more fully appears. Who by deed duly executed bearing date the --- day of --A. D. 18-- conveyed the same to Dr. Daniel Beigle party hereunto Reference being had thereunto will more fully appear. Together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof: and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of - - of the said part of the first part, in law equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof: To Have and to hold the said piece of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that -- the said party of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described, and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and Forever Defend. In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part hath to these presents set our hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. Koon the sum of twenty five dollars in full of the consideration money therein mentioned. Daniel Beigle Test: James Conrad Blair County, ss: - The seventh day of February Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine, before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said county personally appeared the above named Daniel Beigle and Mary Ellen his wife and in due form of law, acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed, and desired the same might be recorded as such, and the said Mary Ellen being of full age, and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined, and the full contents of the above Deed being by me first made known unto her, did thereupon declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, sign, seal and as her act and deed deliver the above Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
