Burkholder et al to Mrs. Vinette H. Funk This Indenture made the ninth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight between Perry G. Burkholder and Dora Burkholder his wife both of Antis Township Blair County Pennsylvania, Margaret J. Mark (widow) of Logan Township and said county and state, Mary E. Hawk (widow) of Juniata, said county and state, Henry C. Burkholder and Mary Burkholder his wife both of Houtzdale, Clearfield County, state aforesaid, Thomas J. Burkholder and Minerva Burkholder his wife, and John Martin Burkholder and Louisa Burkholder his wife, all of Neff's mills, Huntingdon County, State aforesaid, and W. Lloyd Burkholder and Livanna Burkholder his wife both of Juniata aforesaid, parties of the first part and Mrs. Vanette H. Funk of Logan Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania, party of the second part. Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of seventeen hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them in hand well and truly paid, by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release convey and confirm to the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever. All the rights, titles, and interests of the said parties of the first part in and to all that certain tract or piece of land with the improvements thereon erected situate, lying and being in Antis and Logan Townships, Blair County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning at a pointer, and running thence north eighty nine degrees east along lands of E. Barber heirs one hundred and thirty three perches to stones thence by lands of Thomas G. Grout, north one degree west, nineteen perches to stones thence by same north fourteen and one half degrees east eighteen and sixteenth perches to stones: thence by same south eighty-eight degrees west, forty five perches to stones near pointed oak: thence by same north seven and one fourth degrees west across the public road five and one tenth perches to a pine: thence by same south eighty three and one fourth degrees west eleven and two tenths perches to white oak thence south eight four and three fourth degrees west eleven and two tenths perches to white oak: thence south eighty seven degrees west, ten perches to a white oak pointed, to lands of Houston: thence by said land south twenty three degrees west, thirty seven and four tenths perches to pointer, the place of beginning containing twenty nine acres and thirty seven perches of land net measure, as surveyed by James L. Gwin at the request of Thomas G. Trent, August 6, 1868 and being part of a large tract originally surveyed on a warrant in the name of John Boynton and Samuel Wharton, dated July 28, 1766. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said tract or piece of land above mentioned and described together with the buildings and improvements thereon erected, hereditaments, and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said part of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part, for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein before described and granted or mentioned, or intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, against the said parties of the first part, and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend.
