All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Blair Township Written: October 7, 1858 Recorded: October 25, 1858 Blair County Deed Book I, pages 385-386 Abraham Glunt and Wife to George Koon This Indenture, made the seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight, Between Abraham Glunt of the Township of Blair in the County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania, and Amanda his wife of the first part and George Koon of Newry, Township, County and State aforesaid of the other part of the second part [sic]. Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said parties of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, all that messuage or part of a tract of land situate in said Blair Township, Blair County and state of Pennsylvania. Beginning at a post and Black oak pointer, adjoining land of David Cassidy North seventy seven and half degrees West twenty nine perches to a post, thence by land of the said Abraham Glunt North nine degrees West twenty three and and [sic] fourteen perches to a post, thence by land of the same South seventy seven and a half degrees East twenty nine perches to a post, thence by lands of the aforesaid David Cassidy south nine degrees East twenty three and four tenth perches to the place of Beginning, containing four acres and the usual allowance of six per cent to. Which said described tract or parcel lf land is part of a tract or parcel of land, which was conveyed by James Conrad and Margaret his wife by deed duly executed, bearing date the 12th day of August, A.D. 1854 to Patrick Bolin, who with Catherine his wife, by deed dated the 13th day of February, A. D. 1856, conveyed the same to Abraham Glunt party hereto by reference to said Deed will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof: and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof: To Have and to hold the said piece of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described, and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and Forever Defend. In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part hath to these presents set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. Abraham Glunt Witness George Weaver Blair County SS: The Seventh day of October Anno Domini One thousand Eight hundred and fifty eight, before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Blair, personally appeared the above named Abraham Glunt and Amanda his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such. And the said Amanda being of full age, and separate and apart from her said husband by me therein privately examined, and the full contents of the above Deed being by me first made known unto her did thereupon declare and say, that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, sign, seal, and as her act and deed deliver the above Indenture, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
