Kauffman This Indenture made the fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six between Elizabeth Gold, widow, Alice B. Reed, widow, both of Frankstown Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania, Amanda G. Robison in her own right and as wife of John M. Robison, and John M. Robison in his own right and as the husband of Amanda G. Robison of the borough of Hollidaysburg County and state aforesaid parties of the first part and Porter T. Kauffman of Frankstown Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania, party of the second part. Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One thousand and five hundred (1500) Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, forever, All that piece or parcel of land, lying, and being situate in the Village of Frankstown Township (sic) Blair County, Pennsylvania, fronting one hundred and eighty (180) feet, more or less, on the North side of the Hollidaysburg & Huntingdon Turnpike and extending back therefrom one hundred and seventy five (175) feet more or less, being bounded on the west by an alley, on the East by land of Harry Merritts, formerly the Burns heirs, on the North by Samuel Rhodes, formerly William P. Smith, and having thereon erected a two story frame dwelling house, a frame barn and necessary outbuildings. Being a portion of the same premises which Daniel Hileman and wife and Stephen Hammond and wife, by deed dated the 26th day of August AD 1842 intended to be recorded and Alexander Holliday and Dorcas, his wife, by deed dated the 8th day of December AD 1848 and intended to be recorded, conveyed to James Gold, and the same James Gold died on or about the 11th day of March AD 1896 seized thereof leaving to survive him his widow, Elizabeth Gold, and the following children Mary Intermarried with Harry C. Burkholder, Alice B. Reed, widow, Amanda intermarried with John M. Robison and James A. Gold, single, and the said James A. Gold, by deed dated the 8th day of December AD 1902, recorded in Blair County in Deed Book, Volume 138 page 648, conveyed his interest therein to John M. Robison and Mary E. Burkholder and Harry C. her husband, by deed dated the 28th day of December AD 1904 intended to be recorded, conveyed their interest therein to Alice B. Reed. Together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said piece or parcel of ground, improvements, hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever. And Elizabeth Gold, widow, Alice B. Reed, widow, Amanda G. Robison and John M. Robison the said parties of the first part, their and each of their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents covenant, grant, and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and forever defend.
