Woodcock Frankstown, Frankstown Township Written: October 1899 Blair County Deed Book 121, October 1899, page 250 This Indenture made the --- day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine ____ between Elizabeth Gold widow, Mary Burkholder, Alice B. Reed, a widow, Amanda Robison and James A. Gold a single man sole surviving heirs of James Gold late of the village of Frankstown, Blair County, Pennsylvania Deceased, Henry C. Burkholder husband of the said Mary Burkholder and John M Robison husband of the said Amanda Robison joining therein parties of the first part and W. I. Woodcock of the Borough of Hollidaysburg County and state aforesaid party of the second part. Witnessed that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three Thousand seven hundred and Fifty (3,750) Dollars lawful money of the United States of American unto their well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the unsealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt where of is here by acknowledged and granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey, and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, all of the following described pieces or parcels of land situate in Frankstown Township, Blair County Pennsylvania more particularly described as follows to with: _____ Parcel No 1: Beginning at stones at corner of lands of Mrs. James Riddle north sixty six (66) degrees east eighty (80) perches to a post, thence along lands of same due south seventy seven and five tenth (27.5) perches to a black oak, thence along lands of same south twenty two (22) degrees east seventy three and nine tenth (73.9) perches to a post; thence along lands of same north fifty eight and one half (58 1/2) degrees east twenty one and five tenth (21.5) perches to a post, thence along lands of same south twenty four and one fourth (24.4) degrees east two hundred and thirteen and five tenth (212.5) perches to a post on corner of Lenox Lands, thence along Lenor lands and south sixty eight (68) degrees west and hundred and fourteen and five tenth (114.5) perches to pointers on corner of lands of G. W. Rhodes: thence along lands of G. W. Rhodes north twenty two (22) degrees west, one hundred and fifty eight (158) perches to a point in road, thence along lands of same north sixteen (16) degrees west one hundred and forty eight (148) perches to stones, the place of beginning. Containing one hundred and seventy four (174) acres and fifty six (56) perches be the same more or less, and having thereon erected a two story brick dwelling house, a large bank barn, a straw house, wagon shed tenant house and other buildings. Parcel No 2 All that certain tract of mountain land, lying and being in the said Frankstown Township, north westerly of the tract herein before described up on or along Brush Mountain, commencing at a pine on top of Brush Mountain, thence north along the top of Brush mountain thirty three and one half (33 1/2) degrees east and one hundred and sixty (160) perches to a post, thence south forty and one half (40 1/2) degrees east, three hundred and eleven (311) perches to a pine, thence south thirty two and one half (32 1/2) degrees west, twenty eight (28) perches to a chestnut oak, thence south sixty five and one half degrees west, one hundred and thirty nine (139), two hundred and forty (240) perches to pine, the place of beginning, containing two hundred and sixty five (265) acres be the same more or less barring no improvements thereof and the said tracts of land being parts of two larger tracts of land which were devised by John B. Riddle to his sons, Robert Riddle and Samuel Riddle, as tenants, in common, in his last will and testament recorded in the office of the Register of wills in and for Blair County in Will Book, volume B page 275 and being that portion of the said lands lying and being in Frankstown Township, Blair County Pa which by sheriff's Deed Poll of James M. Stiffler dated and delivered February 5th A.D. 1879 to be recorded were conveyed to James Gardner Trustee, the said James Gardner having purchased the said lands at Sheriffs sale as Trustee for one James Gold, late of Frankstown Township now deceased and the Banking firm of Gardner, Morrow, and Company as tenants in common, a deed of John Cree assignee, of Gardner, Morrow, and Company to the grantee herein of like consideration for all the rights, title and interest of the said Gardner, Morrow, and Company, being executed and delivered simultaneous here with so as to vest in this grantee as full and perfect title to said real estate as vested in the said James Gardner, Trustee under the said sheriff's Deed poll aforesaid. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways, waters, water courses, rights liberties, privileges as hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof, and all the estate right and title interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law, equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof _____ To Have and to Hold: the said tracts, pieces or parcels of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. _____ And Elizabeth Gold, widow, Mary Burkholder, Alice B Reed, Amanda Robison and James A Gold, the said parties of the first part their and each of their heirs, executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said party of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part there of shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. Robison her husband and James A. Gold, a single man and acknowledged the foregoing indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Amanda Robison being of full age, and by me examined separate and apart from the said husband and the full contents of the foregoing indenture being first made known to her declared that she is voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
