Jackson to George M. Jackson This Indenture made the first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight between Mariah Jane Jackson and George M. Jackson both of Allegheny Township Blair County Pennsylvania. Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Nine hundred Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto her well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. All that certain piece of land in Allegheny Township, Blair county Pennsylvania Bounded and described as follows. Beginning at a stone, thence North 25 degrees 15' west 74.2 perches along lands owned by Peck and Burkey to a stone, thence South 60 degrees 31' East 88.3 perches along lands of Fink and Alexander to a stone, thence South 5 degrees 15' East 3 perches to a stone thence South 65 degrees 5' West 49.3 perches along line of other lands belonging to the grantor to place of beginning. The whole containing Twelve 80/160 acres of land, and being part of a larger piece of land purchased and conveyed to the grantor Mariah Jane Jackson by Michael Mannagh and wife by deed dated the 17th day of October A. D. 1868 and the same recorded in the Recorders office at Hollidaysburg in Deed Book V, page 411 reference to which will more fully appear Together with all and singular the said property improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part, in law, equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To Have and to Hold the said Twelve 80/160 acres of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Mariah Jane Jackson the said party of the first part, herself her heirs, executors and administrators, doth by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns that she the said party of the first part, her heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said party of the first part and his heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness whereof, the said party of the first part has to these presents set her hand and seal Dated the day and year first above written. Blythe Jones State of Pennsylvania County of Blair SS: On the Third day of January Anno Domini 1888 before me a Justice of the Peace for said county came the above named Mariah Jane Jackson and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be her act and deed, and desired that the same might be recorded as such.
