Jackson to David F. Jackson This Indenture made the second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight between Mariah Jane Jackson of the Township of Allegheny Blair Co Penna of the first part and David F. Jackson of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen hundred and ninety dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto her well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. All that certain piece of land in Allegheny Township Blair County Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a stone the corner of a lot owned by the said David F. Jackson on the North side of the Turnpike Road, thence along said Turnpike S 71 degrees 45' west 20.8 perches to a stone corner of lot owned by A. Johnson, thence north 25 degrees 15' west 80.8 perches to a stone, thence north 65 degrees east 41.5 perches along other lands of the grantor to a stone at public road, thence along said road south 23 degrees east 47.2 perches to a stone, thence south 64 degrees 30'west 11 perches to stone, thence along lands of John Owens south 23 degrees east 36.3 perches to a walnut, thence south 69 degrees southwest 8 perches to stones, thence south 18 degrees 30' east 11.5 perches to stone at Turnpike and the place of beginning, containing sixteen 112/160 acres. It being part of a large piece of land purchased and conveyed to the said Mariah Jane Jackson by Michael Mannagh and wife by Deed dated the 17th day of October A.D. 1868 and duly recorded at the office for recording of Deeds at Hollidaysburg in Deed Book V page 441 refference [sic] to which will more fully made and appear. Together with all and singular the said property improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever, thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said sixteen 112/160 acres of ground the hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Mariah Jane Jackson the said party of the first part, for herself her heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant, and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns that she the said party of the first part, her heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said party of the first part and her heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully, claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and will warrant and forever defend In Witness Whereof, The said party of the first part has to these presents set her hand and seal, Dated the day and year first above written.
