All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Town of Duncansville Written: April 1, 1863 Recorded: April 6, 1867 Blair County Deed Book T page 218-219 Deed Abraham Koon and Wife to Patrick Burk This Indenture made the first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three between Abraham Koon and Cevilla his wife of Duncansville Blair County and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and Patrick Burk of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns. All that certain Lot of ground situate in the town of Duncansville in the said County of Blair lying and being on the south side of the Turnpike on Main street and fronting on said street --- feet, and extending back at right angles to the Allegheny Portage Railroad and bounded on the west by lot of Geo. Hammers and on the east by an alley. Being the same lot of ground the title to which became vested in James Trees, who together with his wife Elizabeth by deed dated the 30th day of March 1857, conveyed the same to James Funk, who together with his wife Susan by Deed dated the 21st day of June AD 1858 conveyed the same to Abraham Koon, party hereto, reference thereunto had well more fully appear. Together with all and singular the buildings, ways, water, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the Reversions and Remainders, Rents, Issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To Have and To Hold the said lot of Ground, Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Abraham Koon and Civilla, his wife, their Heirs, Executors and Administrators Do by these presents, covenant grant, and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs, all and singular the Hereditaments and Premises here above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part the Heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will Warrant and forever Defend. In witness whereof, the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. Koon Abraham Koon Blair County SS: On the first day of April Anno Domini 1863, before me, the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said county, personally appeared the above named Abraham Koon and Civilla his wife, and in due form of law acknowledged the above Indenture to be their and each of their act and deed, and desired the same might be recorded as such; and the said Cevilla being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined, and the full contents of the above Deed being by me first made known unto her did thereupon declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, sign, seal, and as her act and deed, deliver the above written Indenture, Deed, or Conveyance, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
