Campbell This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three between Samuel Koon and Lovinia Koon his wife of Logan Township Blair County and State of Pennsylvania parties of the first part and Thomas E. Campbell of the City of Altoona County and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,000) lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, confirmed and conveyed and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, clear of all encumbrances All that certain messuage or tenement and tract of land situate in Logan Township, Blair County, State of Pennsylvania described as follows: Beginning at a post Thence south sixteen degrees East by lands of Francis McGraw now Peter Good sixty seven and four tenths perches to a post. Thence North fifty eight Degrees East by lands of David Markey now Cornelius Campbell two hundred and four perches and five tenths to a post, Thence north sixty and one half degrees West seventy three and five tenths perches by lands of Robert Allison now heirs of Elias Baker to a post. Thence by lands of Magdalena Gripe now Mier Kinsel south fifty eight degrees West one hundred and sixty perches to place of beginning containing 67 acres and sixty perches and allowances, being the same land formerly of the Estate of Jonathan Neff deceased and decreed to the aforesaid Samuel Koon alience [sic] of Mary Williamson, formerly Neff, in right of said Mary Williamson by decree of the Orphans Court Docket C page 228 as by reference thereto will more fully appear. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever the said parties of the first part, in law equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To Have and to Hold the said lands, hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And Samuel Koon and Lovinia his wife the said parties of the first part, for their heirs, executors and administrators do, by these presents, covenant, grant, and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns that they, the said parties of the first part their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever Defend. Leet a justice of the peace in and for the above county came the above named Samuel Koon and Lovinia his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such, the same Lovinia Koon being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
